Box Score 2 LAS VEGAS, N.M.- The Cowgirls and Yellowjackets of Black Hills St. opened up their weekend series in New Mexico. The Cowgirls took day one sweep with scores of 6-1 and 2-0.

Game 1 It wasn't until the fourth inning until the either team got on the board. With the bases loaded
Alysia Cavone knocked a fly ball towards shallow right that bounced out of the right fielder's glove and Jacquelyn Soils scored from third. After another Cowgirl out
Monica Caporal singled down the left field line and
Ashton Borunda made it a 2-0 game after four.

The Cowgirls broke the game open in the bottom of the sixth. With the
Miki Sylva, who pinch ran for Cavone, at third, KK Kamai at second and Caporal at first
Jamie Weatherbee forced the walk and Sylva scored.
Victoria Gonzales followed up with a single through the right side to score Kamai. A double to left center by Solis scored Caporal and Weatherbee and made it a 6-0.

The Yellowjackets pushed one across the plate in the top of the seventh inning to make it a 6-1 final.

Brincefield pitched a complete game four hitter as she walked two, struck out five in seven innings of work

Game 2The second started like the first in that neither team could push a run across the plate until the fifth inning.

In the bottom of the sixth inning
Marissa Valencia led off with a triple to right center. Kamai doubled to left and Valencia trotted home to make it 1-0.

In the sixth inning Gonzales reached on a error by the Yellowjacket shortstop. On a hit by Cavone Gonzales scored from first and Cavone ended up with a stand up triple.

Madison Davis pitched a complete game three hit shutout with five strike outs and no walks to lead the Cowgirls to the 2-0 win in game two.
