LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team travels to take on Colorado School of Mines on Saturday and UC Colorado Springs Sunday in their second-to-last road trip of the season.

THE COWGIRLS COMING INTO THIS WEEK | SEASON STATS
The Cowgirls dropped both games last week at home, falling to South Dakota Mines 60-46 on Friday and to Black Hills State 85-52 on Saturday at Wilson Complex. Against Mines, the Cowgirls were withing two early in the third quarter before the Hardrockers went on a 12-0 run to pull away. Jordyn Lewis led the team with 14 points. In the loss to BHSU, Lewis and Allyah George led the team with 14 points apiece while DeAvion Allen had 12.

Lewis is 10th in the RMAC in scoring at 13.8 points per game while leading the conference in free throw percentage (89.2 percent) and seventh in 3-pointers per game at 2.3. George is also averaging double figures for NMHU at 11.0 per game while averaging a team-best 5.9 rebounds per contest.

The Cowgirls fell to Colorado School of Mines 69-38 and 80-47 to UCCS two weeks ago at home.

ABOUT COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES | SEASON STATS
The Orediggers have won four in a row - including beating Chadron State 81-52 on Friday led Denali Pinto's 16 points and defeating MSU Denver 69-63 on Saturday led by Cassidy Budge's 22 points (going 3-for-3 from beyond the arc and 7-for-7 from the free-throw line).

Mines is fifth in the RMAC in scoring at 66.4 points per game while the Orediggers are fourth in points against at 58.6 as they are third in scoring margin (+7.8). MInes is also the top team in the conference in rebounding margin at +7.8 per game.

Pinto leads the team in scoring at 15.2 points per game - fourth in the RMAC. Raven Herrera is second on the team in scoring (10.0) and rebounding (6.8) and leads the team in steals (1.9) while Anna Kollmorgen is third in scoring (9.8) and leads the team at 3.1 assists per contest.

ABOUT UC COLORADO SPRINGS | SEASON STATS
The Mountain Lions have won four in a row and six of their last seven after beating MSU Denver (84-69) and Chadron State (80-45) last week at home. In the win over the Roadrunner, Madi Gaibler led the team with a team-high 29 points (going 12-for-16 from the floor) while in the win over the Eagles, Chelsea Pearson led the team with 21 points - going 6-for-10 from 3-point range.

UCCS is second in the RMAC in field goal percentage defense (37.1 percent) and fourth in 3-point percentage (35.3 percent) and rebounding margin (+4.1). 

The Mountain Lions are balanced in scoring to say the least as 11 players are averaging between 4.0 and 7.7 points per game - led by Jae Ferrin and Gaibler.
