Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands softball team takes on CSU Pueblo in a four-game series with a double-header scheduled to begin at 12 pm on Saturday, April 17
th at the HU Softball Field in Las Vegas, NM.

The Cowgirls come into the weekend with a 5-23 overall and RMAC record after losing four games to Colorado Mesa last weekend in Grand Junction, CO. The Cowgirls are batting .277 on the season with 207 hits, 107 RBI and 18 home runs and are led by
Camrynn Ziegler with a .385 batting average, 40 hits, and 17 home runs. You can also expect to see
Carlee Gonzalez (.370 AVG, 24 RBI, 8 HR),
Megan Gutierrez (.319 AVG, 23 hits), and
Taylor Fish (.271 AVG, 23 hits, 11 RBI) for the Cowgirls, offensively. The Cowgirls pitching is made up of
Paige Varni (2-4, 6.24 ERA, 19 strikeouts),
Nathalie Blattmann (3-12, 6.69 ERA, 31 strikeouts),
Cassidy Munoz (7.97 ERA,), and
Samantha Gamboa (10.06 ERA, 12 strikeouts).

 CSU Pueblo comes into the weekend with a 12-12 overall record and 9-11 in RMAC play to sit in 8
th place. The ThunderWolves are led by Isabel Griego (4.24 AVG, 36 hits), Gabby Mireno (.400 AVG, 16 RBI, .600 SLG%), and Katelynn Ralston (.356 AVG, 21 hits, 15 RBI) in the batter's box and Sophia Lishner (2.08 ERA, 10 strikeouts) and Oakleigh Kearby (3.83 ERA, 36 strikeouts) in the circle.
