Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands Softball team picked up a four-game series on Friday (DH) and Saturday (DH) against Colorado Christian that was postponed last weekend due to COVID-19 protocol.

The Cowgirls enter the weekend with a 7-29 overall and conference record with their last series ending in a split with UCCS on April 25
th. The Cowgirls are led by junior center-fielder
Camrynn Ziegler who leads the team with a .4-6 batting average (18
th in the RMAC) and has also tallied 52 hits, 19 RBI and, 5 home runs. You can also expect to see
Carlee Gonzalez (.337 AVG, 19 RBI),
Megan Gutierrez (.305, 29 hits), and
Samantha Gamboa (.269 AVG, 29 hits) to lead the Cowgirls offensively.

In the circle, the Cowgirls are led by
Nathalie Blattmann who comes in to the weekend with a 6.26 ERA and 44 strikeouts on the season.

The Cougars come in to the season ranked 3
rd in the RMAC with an overall 23-10 record, 22-7 in conference play, and are 10-0 at home this season. CCU is led by Piper Lujan (.427 AVG, 42 RBI) and Sydney Reamer (.418 AVG, 8 HR) offensively with Julie Katz (3.77 ERA, 44 strikeouts) and Jennifer Romero (3.77 ERA, 58 strikeouts) in the circle.
The Cowgirls and Cougars are scheduled for double-headers beginning at 10 am on both Friday and Saturday mornings.
