Denver, CO---The Cowboys were down by 14 points with 5:50 left. With 2 minutes left they found themselves leading by one point.
1.6.23--In an effort that came so close, the Cowboys ended Friday night in defeat to MSU Denver. Give the Cowboys credit as they came back when most would have believed the game to be almost over. Full court press defense and quick hands put the Cowboys right back into the contest. A couple key turnovers toward the end of the game simply put the Cowboys just out of reach.
Dante Moses struggled to find his shot during the game, but stayed consistent as usual at the free throw line. Dante hit 13 of 17 free throws giving him two more than the entire Roadrunner team. The Cowboys shot 38% from the field compared to MSU's 47% and were out rebounded 47-38. Even with inferior numbers the Cowboys still led at one point with two minutes remaining. This serves for optimism as they prepare to take on a tougher opponent tomorrow at the same time.
Looking ahead--The Cowboys will take on the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers tomorrow in Golden, Colorado at 7pm Mountain time.
