New Mexico Highland University, Baseball coach Shannon Hunt Part Ways

LAS VEGAS, NM–New Mexico Highlands University has elected to not renew head baseball coach Shannon Hunt's contract for the coming 2024 season, ending his nine-year tenure at the institution. Hunt's current contract runs through June 30, 2023.
"NMHU decided it was best that we go in a different direction," Co-Athletic Director Shanna Halalilo said. "We are grateful for Coach Hunt's time at New Mexico Highlands and wish him the best."
NMHU's baseball program will be overseen by Halalilo and Co-Athletic Director Jim Deisler until they name a permanent replacement.
