Las Vegas, New Mexico - The New Mexico Highlands wrestling team is back on the road this weekend as they head to Kearney, Nebraska, to compete in the 2024 Younes Hospitality Open at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.
The Younes Hospitality Open is hosted annually by the University of Nebraska-Kearney. This year's field is made up of nearly 50 teams from across all levels of college wrestling from junior college to NCAA Division I. The field will see numerous teams from the RMAC and NCAA Super Region VI.
Ivan Smith looks to continue his solid start to the 2024-25 season on Saturday. He secured wins at 165 last weekend at nationally ranked Colorado Mesa and Western Colorado.
