Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowboys dropped the series finale to UCCS on Sunday afternoon 14-8.
NMHU jumped out to an ealy 3-0 lead on a three run homer by
Tucker Simpson. In his next at bat Simpson hit a solo shot that gave the Cowboys a 4-1 lead at the end of three. Simpson leads the team with eight home runs on the year. On Sunday he went three for four and had five RBI.
The Cowboys rallied late scoring three runs in the ninth inning but came up short falling 14-8.
In addition to Simpson's three hits,
Carlos Chavez,
Roy Pacheco, and
Chase Stewart each had multi-hit games on Sunday afternoon.
The Cowboys are now 7-31 overall and 3-17 in the RMAC.
