Chadron, Nebraska - NMHU and Chadron State split Sunday's doubleheader with the Cowgirls winning game one 4-3 and losing game two 3-0.
In the opening game, the Cowgirls put up three runs in the opening inning and a single run in the fourth while the Eagles scored single runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings.
Jazmyn Griego and
Gabrielle Varela each hit home runs to pace NMHU in game one.
Heaven Medina was two for three and scored a run.
Arianna Ramirez earned the complete game win, her fourth of the season.
In game two, the Cowgirls struggled to get the office on track as the\y managed just one hit in the game, a single in the third off the bat of
Gabrielle Varela.
The Cowgirls are now 13-26 overall and 9-25 in the RMAC.
