Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls closed out the 2024 season with a pair of losses to Regis, losing the opener 10-2 and the season finale 11-3.
In Saturday's opening game the Cowgirls took an early 2-1 lead over the Rangers as
Arianna Ramirez doubled home
Jazmyn Griego who reached base on an error to lead off the first inning.
Heaven Medina followed with a triple that scored Ramirez. That would account for all the scoring for NMHU as the rangers won the game 10-2.
Game two was scoreless through three innings when the Rangers put two on the board in the top of the fourth inning. The Cowgirls struck back with three runs in the bottom half of the fourth courtesy of a three run double off the bat of
Carlee Gonzalez that scored
Heaven Medina,
Arianna Ramirez, and
Savannah Pineda Chavez.
The Cowgirls finish the season at 16-31 overall and 12-30 in RMAC play.
