Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls get the sweep of the Eagles to go 2-0 on the weekend.
Set One: Chadron took the lead early, but the Cowgirls, who led by four three-point runs, were able to secure set one.
Set Two: The Cowgirls jumped out to a 4-1 win, but the Eagles would not go away quietly tied at 12, the Cowgirls have seven unanswered, led by
Aziza Morris and
Arianna Jamerson. Which would be enough for the win of the second set.
Set Three: The third set was a fourth affair, but a three-point run was the difference in set three.
It's Not How You Start: Cowgirls got out to slow starts in the first two sets but were able to come from behind to get the win.
Match Notes: Arianna Jamerson was your player of the game as she led the Cowgirls with 15 kills.
Naya Dornic and
Marissa Sandoval-Moya combined for 34 assists (17 each).
Three in a row = Winning streak: With the win over the Eagles, the Cowgirls are now on a three-game win streak for the first time since September of 2013.
