Box Score 2 Los Lunas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls split a pair of games on Saturday at the South Central Regional Challenge losing the first game to Eastern New Mexico 16-0 in five innings before beating Sul Ross State 10-8 in the night cap.
NMHU never got on track against the Greyhounds mustering only one hit, a
Heaven Medina double in the bottom of the fourth.
In the day's second game the Cowgirls' bats came alive as they had 14 hits against the Lobos. Freshmen
Kaylee Rodriguez went three for three and
Andrea DeLaTrinidad was three for four.
Dioni Lincoln was two for three with three RBI.
Kennedy Williams earned the win for the Cowgirls.
NMHU closes out play in Los Lunas on Sunday with a 10:00 am contest against Sul Ross State and a 12:30 pm rematch with Eastern New Mexico.
