Golden, Colorado - Cowboys drop a pair of games on Sunday at the Colorado School of Mines losing 14-3 and 9-1. NMHU is now 8-15 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
The host Orediggers jumped out to the early 4-0 lead in game one before the Cowboys could answer with three runs in their half of the third inning. 
Sammy Estrada, 
Ryan Callanan, and 
Gael Bernal scored the runs for NMHU to draw within one at 4-3. Colorado School of Mines responded with five in their half of the third to put the contest out of reach.
Andrew Rodriguez got the start and took the loss for the Cowboys.
In the second game of the day, the Cowboys took the early one run lead after a 
Forrest Simpson single plated 
Tony Leger in the top of the third. As in the first game, the Orediggers responded in their half of the inning to pull away from NMHU. 
Ramon Brion took the loss on the mound for the Cowboys.
The two teams conclude the series on Monday with first pitch at 12:00 pm.
