NMHU SOFTBALL 2025

Game Recap: Softball |

Softball Drops Two In Colorado On Sunday

Pueblo, Colorado - The Cowgirls dropped both ends of Sunday's doubleheader at CSU-Pueblo losing the opener 12-4 and game two 11-3. NMHU falls to 8-25 overall and 2-22 in conference play.

NMHU scored first in Sunday's first game as they plated three runs in their half of the second inning. Heaven Medina, Vicky Alvarado, and Andrea DeLaTrinidad all scored to put the Cowgirls on top. They added another run in the fourth when Vicky Alvarado singled in Heaven Medina. The hosts scored 11 unanswered runs to pull away for the win.

The Cowgirls scored a run in the top of the first in game two when a Heaven Medina single scored Andrea DeLaTrinidad. A homer off the bat of Alexia Apodaca scored Vicky Alverado in the top of the fourth inning but a late surge by CSU-Pueblo was too much for NMHU.

Heaven Medina has reached base in 21 consecutive games for NMHU.

The Cowgirls return home for a weekend series with Fort Lewis beginning at 12:00 pm on Saturday.
