UCCS Tops Cowboys In Sunday's Series Finale

Las Vegas, New Mexico - Visiting UCCS took Sunday's series finale from the Cowboys 13-1 in seven innings. The loss drops the Cowboys to 9-19 overall and 1-11 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.

The Mountain Lions scored in every inning Sunday afternoon except for the fifth on Sunday en route to the win

NMHU scored its lone run in the fifth inning when a Gael Bernal sacrifice fly scored Ryan Callanan.

Bryant O'Neil continued his solid season at the plate as he was two for three on Sunday and now has at least one hit in 22 of the Cowboys' 28 games this season.

Andrew Rodriguez got the start Sunday and took the loss for the Cowboys.

NMHU is back on the road next weekend for a series at MSU-Denver that's scheduled to get under way on Friday afternoon.
