Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls lost 3-0 to Colorado Mesa Saturday night in the Wilson Complex in a 25-17, 25-11, 25-19 decision. The loss drops NMHU to 4-6 overall and 0-2 in the RMAC. The nationally ranked Mavericks improved to 6-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
"Tonight was a tough one," said Coach
Meg Grose. "We have to regroup and get ready for a very good Adams State team on Tuesday."
Colorado Mesa out hit NMHU .365 to .103 en route to the win.
Arianna Jamerson led the Cowgirls with seven kills while
Elise Fourt and
Jaylee Gonzales had four apiece.
Defensively
Meg Pfannerstill had ten digs to pace NMHU.
Up next the Cowgirls travel to Alamosa on Tuesday evening to face Adams State. Match time is set for 6:00 pm.
