Silver City, New Mexico - The Cowgirls opened day two against the Lobos of Sul Ross, then faced Western New Mexico.
Match One: The Cowgirls' first match was a win in dominating fashion. Set one was a bit closer, led by the four-point run in which two of the four points were
Meg Pfannerstill kills. The Cowgirls dominated 2 and 3 as they SWEPT the Lobos 3-0.
Match One Notes: On the offense,
Aziza Morris led the Cowgirls with 10 kills, and
Abby Carlsen led with 14 assists. Defensively,
Becca Wiersema had 24 digs in the win.
Match Two: In the second match of the day, the Cowgirls controlled a majority of set one as they started the game on a three-point run, led in the set by
Aziza Morris with five kills. The Cowgirls dropped the second set two in a close one, but went on to win the other four to capture the victory in Silver City.
