The NMHU Cowboys were eliminated from the RMAC Baseball Tournament by the Lopers of the University of Nebraska-Kearney by a final score of 12-8 on 5/14 in Grand Junction, Colo. The Cowboys were playing in their second game of the day as they had defeated the ThunderWolves of CSU-Pueblo earlier in the day 9-8 in 11 innings before they faced the Lopers in the night cap. The Cowboys fought hard throughout the game as they came back from an early 9-0 deficit to pull within three runs of the Lopers 11-8, but that wouldn't be enough as the Lopers advance to the RMAC Tournament championship game on 5/15 in Grand Junction, Colo. The Lopers will face Mesa State College for the tournament championship. The Cowboys end their tournament run 2-2 for the tourney and end their season 27-26 overall.
