LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands softball team returns home for the first time since March 14 as the Cowgirls host first-place Colorado Mesa starting with a doubleheader Saturday and another doubleheader Sunday.

NMHU split a four-game series at Chadron State last weekend moving to 5-15 in RMAC play.
Heaven Medina continues to lead the team in hitting at .338 with three homers, 15 RBI and 15 runs,
Arianna Ramirez is hitting .333 with two homers, 10 doubles, 19 RBI and 11 runs,
Camrynn Ziegler is hitting .322 with a homer, nine doubles, three triples, 13 RBI, 17 runs and 10 stolen bases while
Samantha Gamboa is hitting .307 with two homers and nine RBI.

The Mavericks are coming off of taking three of four at home from Regis, though CMU had its 23-game winning streak snapped during the series.
The Mavericks as a team have an OPS of 1.013 with Brandi Haller leading the way with a 1.364 OPS thanks to seven homers, 22 RBI and five doubles. Myah Arrieta leads the team in hitting at .404 with two homers, 20 RBI while Ashley Bradford has seven homers, 20 RBI and six doubles, Ellie Smith is hitting .341, seven homers and 30 RBI and Ally Distler has nine homers, 29 RBI and five doubles.
