LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands softball team hits the road to take on CSU Pueblo starting with a doubleheader noon Friday and concluding with a doubleheader 11 a.m. Saturday.
COWGIRLS HEADING INTO THE SERIES | 2022 STATISTICS
NMHUÂ dropped four games at home last weekend to Fort Lewis, 2-1, 10-2, 7-2 and 14-4.
Arianna Ramirez has paced the Cowgirls at the plate this season, hitting .315 with a .898 OPS, two homers, 20 RBI and 12 doubles (tied for fifth in the RMAC). The other player hitting above .300 for NMHU this season is
Samantha Gamboa at .304 with two homers, nine RBI and four doubles.
Heaven Medina leads the team with three homers to go along with 15 RBI and a .295 average while
Camrynn Ziegler is hitting .290 with a homer, nine doubles, two triples, 14 RBI, 17 runs and 11 stolen bases.
Nathalie Blattmann leads NMHU in the circle at 5-14 with a 4.96 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 96 innings.

The ThunderWolves were swept on the road last weekend at Regis, 10-2, 9-5, 8-0 and 15-14 - moving their losing streak to six games.
Katelynn Ralston leads the team and is second in teh RMAC in hitting at .461 with a 1.321 OPS with four homers, 29 RBI and 12 doubles. Isabel Griego is also hitting above .400 at .441 with 12 RBI and a team-best 26 runs and 26 stolen bases. Hannah Hackney leads the team with eight home runs and 35 RBI to go along with a .316 average.
Taylor Strupp leads CSU Pueblo in the circle with a 3.13 ERA with 32 strikeouts in a team-best 78.1 innings. The next most innings thrown by a ThunderWolves pitcher is 63.1 innings by Sophie Lishner with a 6.52 ERA and 34 strikeouts.
