Brown named NCBWA South Central Region Hitter of the Week

It's another award for New Mexico Highlands' Jared Brown and his big weekend in Golden, Colorado, as he was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association South Central Regional Hitter of the Week on Wednesday.

The senior, who was named the RMAC Player of the Week on Tuesday, went 6-for-15 (.400) with five home runs, a double, 10 RBI and five runs during a four-game pod series against Colorado School of Mines (two games) and UCCS (two games).

Brown is now hitting .342 on the season with 10 home runs (tied for fourth in the RMAC), 10 doubles (tied for 11th) and 37 RBI (tied for third in the RMAC). He's 11th in the RMAC in OPS at 1.120. 

NMHU returns to action Friday as it travels to start a four-game series at CSU Pueblo.
