Enoe Soars Again

Cowgirl Ashareah Enoe proved once again that she is the jumper to beat this year in NCAA DII with a gold- medal performance at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Saturday in Alamosa, CO.

Enoe, a freshman from Grenada, became the third Cowgirl in program history to win the RMAC high jump title with a clearance of 1.78m/5'-10" . Enoe now owns three of the top four jumps in DII this season and leads the national list by two inches.

The Cowgirls also got points from Nadine Rose (400m) and the 4x400 relay (Rose, Selisa Palmer, Beatrice Armijo, Lucia Harrison) to close out the RMAC meet.

" Nadine showed a lot of heart on Saturday," noted HU head coach Bob DeVries, "She was not feeling well and still gave us two strong 400's. "

The anticipated hurdle showdown between HU's Patreece Clarke and Missy Moreni of UCCS failed to materialize when Clarke false started in the final. Both hurdlers are ranked among the top five nationally and will have another meeting at the NCAA national championships in two weeks.

The Cowgirls finished eighth in the team scoring while Colorado Mines upset preseason favorite UCCS for the  first team  title in program history.
