Las Vegas, NM Â - The Cowgirls fall to Black Hill State in the first two games of a four game series on Saturday.
Game 1: A rubber match through the first three and a half innings of play, until the Cowgirls drew first blood. A Dioni Lincoln double followed by a Vicky Alvarado single put the Cowgirls on the board. However, that was not going to be enough as the Yellowjackets had some timely hits scoring two in the sixth and three in the seventh the Cowgirls would fall in game one.
Game 2: The second game of today's double header was full of fireworks as the Cowgirls wasted no time getting on the board. Vicky Alvarado had a sac fly to score a run in the first. The Yellow jackets answered with one in the third inning and later in the fifth adding three more to make it 4-1. Heaven Medina had an answer following a Dioni Lincoln Single Medina hits a two run shot to make it a 4-3 ball game and ultimately that would wind up being the final score as the Cowgirls were unable to complete the comeback.
The Cowgirls are in action again Sunday March 2nd to conclude the series against Black Hills State, Game three of the series first pitch is at 11:00 AM MST you can catch it on the RMAC Network with Scott Galletti and Jace Hinton on the call.
