Juliana Aragon Earns Academic All-District Honors

Las Vegas, New Mexico – Junior Juliana Aragon was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Basketball Academic All-District Team. Additionally, Aragon was selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Aragon, named to the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Basketball 2nd Team earlier this month, has a 3.76 GPA while majoring in Human Performance and Sport.

On the court this season, Aragon scored her 1,000th career point on January 30th and recorded her 250th career assist on February 8th. She finished the season ninth in the RMAC in scoring at 15.6 ppg, fourth in assists with 4.3 per game, and tied for ninth with 1.8 steals per game. She was ninth in the conference in field goal percentage at 41.4% and number one in free throw percentage at 87.5%. Aragon's Assist/Turnover ratio of 1.3 is seventh best in the RMAC.

Aragon is the first Cowgirl to earn Academic District since Alyssa Lopez in 2012-13.
