Alamosa, Colorado - The Cowgirls won both ends of Sunday's doubleheader as the beat Adams State 7-0 and 21-5. With the wins NMHU improves to 12-27 overall and 6-24 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Jazmyn Griego was the story of the opening game as she tossed a complete game shutout while going two for four at the plate and recording five RBI. She scattered three Adams State hits and did not allow an extra base hit in the game. Greigo improves to 6-6 with the win.
Dioni Lincoln was two for four and had an RBI for the Cowgirls in the game.
In the day's second game, NMHU exploded for 21 runs on 17 hits highlighted by ten runs in their half of the seventh inning.

Jazmyn Griego each had three hits.
Andrea DeLaTrinidad, Griego, Lincoln, and
Karla Banegas had four RBI apiece.
Kennedy Williams got the start and picked up the win for the Cowgirls.
Jazmyn Griego pitched the final three innings of the game to earn her second save of the season.
The series concludes with a doubleheader on Monday. First pitch is at 11:00 am.
